Design Principles
A receiving bunker takes impact loads, abrasion and irregular dumping; its grid keeps oversize out, its walls need wear plates where material strikes, and its outlet must release cohesive material without manual help. Buffer hoppers above dosing equipment have the opposite duty: small volume, but absolutely steady discharge into the feeder below.
Both duties come down to geometry and material data: hopper half-angles, outlet dimensions and wall surfaces engineered against your material's cohesion and moisture range — supported by vibrators or aeration only where geometry alone cannot guarantee flow.
