Screening Systems for Product Classification
Screens define what leaves your plant: they separate on-spec product from oversize and fines, protect downstream equipment and close recycle loops. Pro Makina manufactures trommel and vibrating screens sized for your material's particle distribution, moisture and capacity.

Screen Types We Manufacture
Trommel screens
Rotating drum screens — tolerant of moist, fibrous and mixed materials; the standard for compost and waste.
Vibrating screens
Multi-deck vibrating screens for accurate granular classification at high throughput.
Dewatering screens
Vibrating screens removing surface water from sand and mineral products.
Selecting and Sizing the Screen
Screening efficiency lives on the screen area and the motion: enough area for the feed rate, the right stroke and speed for the material, and apertures chosen against the real particle distribution — not the nominal product size. Moist and sticky materials favour trommels with cleaning brushes; dry granules run best on vibrating decks.
In granulation plants the screen is part of the recycle loop, splitting product from oversize (to the crusher) and undersize (back to the granulator). Loop stability depends on screen sharpness, so we size screens conservatively and design access for panel changes.
Data Required for Screen Design
| Design input | Role in the design |
|---|---|
| Feed particle distribution | Aperture selection and deck count |
| Capacity (t/h) | Screen area and motion parameters |
| Moisture and stickiness | Trommel vs vibrating selection, cleaning system |
| Cut points required | Number of decks / drum sections |
Screen area and type are calculated from your feed analysis; sample screening tests can be arranged for difficult materials.
Why Pro Makina
Manufactured in Turkey
Design and fabrication are carried out in our own facility in Eskişehir, Turkey, with full in-house engineering control.
Project-based engineering
Every machine is sized around your raw material, moisture content and capacity target — not sold from a fixed catalogue.
Export experience
We prepare international technical proposals, shipping documentation and commissioning support for overseas projects.
Single point of responsibility
Process design, fabrication, automation and commissioning are managed by one engineering team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Trommel or vibrating screen — which is right?
Moist, fibrous or mixed materials (compost, waste) run better on trommels; dry granular products classify more sharply on vibrating screens. Capacity and cut points refine the choice.
How is screen blinding handled?
With cleaning brushes on trommels, ball-deck or heated options on vibrating screens, and aperture selection adapted to the material's moisture.
